Introduction

Lifebit is a scale-up technology company established in 2017 whose driving mission is to revolutionise bioinformatics and biomedical data analysis. Lifebit has grown fast since inception and in Sept 2021 received over $70m of Series B funding to further grow headcount, particularly in their agile software engineering teams, who are remotely based across the globe.

  • Rapidly building new engineering teams with the right skills in a competitive market is always challenging. This is especially true when the organisation is relatively unknown outside of its niche and when cultural fit and the right attitude to help build new teams are vital to achieving Lifebit’s mission. To fulfil its growth plans and meet client demand, Lifebit needs to cut through and hold the attention of the audience it wishes to attract by communicating its mission, values, culture, tech stack, remote-first working, and diverse workforce.

  • Alongside Lifebit’s small HR and recruitment team, in 2023, we worked closely with Lifebit’s Engineering teams to scope what made Lifebit such a great place to work and identify their EVP Pillars.

    We produced a main EVP video with personal take-out shots designed for use in social media campaigns. This video, with its personal touch, complemented their internal and Inspire People agency-led headhunting campaigns for Software Developers, Scrum Masters, QAs, and DevOps Engineers.

    To keep candidates engaged once attracted, we produced a fully customisable Job Brochure to replace their traditional, one-dimensional Job Descriptions.

  • Strong digital assets, EVP videos, and Job Brochures boosted candidate engagement, contributing to the proactive recruitment and executive search campaigns conducted by Inspire People, resulting in over 25 hires globally in traditionally difficult-to-fill roles.
